Year 5 students showcase the College

Geraldton Christian College put on a top class exhibition at the Chapman Valley show.

Wholistic Land Management Coordinator Mrs Kelly Harrington led the team which showcased the College as a great school for Mid West families while engaging with many show visitors.

The team sold produce grown at the College by the students, including fresh fruit and vegetables, popping corn and home-made preserves and dried fruit.

Mrs Harrington was impressed by the Year 5 helpers who excelled in sales, putting to use the knowledge learned from their maths class.

“It was so wonderful to see the years of sowing a biblical world view into their lives working out in action towards customers they were serving at the stall,” she said.

“It was also encouraging to see them using their initiative to keep the stall looking good, showing maturity and taking it very seriously. With a bit of guidance, these young folk could be our next entrepreneurs!”

Well done Year 5s and thank you to all the teachers and parents who helped make this event a huge success.
