Staff farewell ‘Mr Hirsch’

Posted by Gavin Box

Past and present College staff farewelled former Principal Gavin Hirschhausen at an outdoor event on Saturday evening, paying tribute to his 20-year association with the school.

During his eight years as Principal, ‘Mr Hirsch’ as he is affectionately known served our community with dedication and passion.

His commitment – to our students, families, and the advancement of Christian education – was well known.

About 120 people from Geraldton and beyond enjoyed a delicious South African braai (bbq) and live music as they thanked Mr Hirschhausen for his contribution.

Many across our school community—past and present—have been positively impacted by his leadership.

Mr Hirschhausen led the College through a time of significant growth, through the difficulty of the COVID years and the rebranding of the school to Geraldton Christian College.

We pray for God’s blessings on Mr Hirschhausen and his family as they open a new chapter.
