During Pupil-Free Week at the start of Term 3, Teachers and Education Assistants participated in a two-hour professional learning session led by our Inclusive Education Coordinator, Mrs Martlie Fourie.

This session focussed on inclusive practices and effective support for autistic and neurodivergent students.

Staff explored contemporary understandings of autism, behaviour as communication, legal obligations and practical classroom strategies to support students with a range of learning, sensory and emotional needs.

Through professional reflection and insights from student and parent perspectives, the session strengthened staff understanding and reinforced our commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
