On the day before the inter-house school athletics carnivals, students dress up in blue and purple clothes with accessories for the Battle Cry ceremony, with the enticement of pizza for the winner.

Two College photographers at the event – Mr de Vries and Mr Fowler – took hundreds, possibly thousands, of photos of the parading people who are bursting with excitement.

Primary pupils paint their hands with all sorts of blue shades and print them all over the Omega flag in a creative mess.

Alpha’s flag has various shades of pink and purple hands orientated around the letters.

Alpha’s Primary captains open the ceremony in prayer and Alpha’s Secondary captains give their speech first, thanking all for the participation within the factions.

The Omega Secondary house captain’s speech motivates and encourages more participation by students in the carnivals.

Speeches finish with Omega’s Primary captains closing the ceremony in prayer.

After the ceremony, many students gather with their friends have their photos taken by Mr de Vries and Mr Fowler.

The Battle Cry turned out to be a great fun way to finish the day.
