At Geraldton Christian College, we are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and Christ-centred environment for all students.

According to the Australian Human Rights Commission, bullying occurs when someone repeatedly and intentionally uses words or actions to harm another person, often taking advantage of a power imbalance. This can happen in person or online, and it may be physical, verbal, or psychological. Common examples include exclusion, threats, spreading rumours, or physical aggression.

Bullying can deeply affect a child’s confidence, emotional health, and school experience. Understanding what bullying looks like—and what it isn’t—empowers students to respond appropriately and seek help when needed.

During our upcoming Bullying Workshop, Mr Santos and Mr Marsh will guide Year 7, 8 and 9 students through interactive discussions, videos, and activities to help them:
– Recognise bullying behaviour
– Understand their emotions and responses
– Learn strategies for resilience and self-awareness

Together we can empower and equip our students, by having open conversations at home and school, so they can feel valued and safe in our community and beyond.
