Max Snell was the principal at Strathalbyn Christian College from 1984 to 1987.
Following that, he continued his service to education as a manual arts teacher in 1989.
Max had a strong presence. His heart embraced not only his staff but also his students.

As a leader, he led with compassion, wisdom, and integrity, always putting the needs of those around him first.
His leadership extended beyond the administrative responsibilities and into the heart of the school community.
In 1984, Max took on the responsibility of leading a small school of 89 students, and it was a responsibility he carried with honour and care.
His leadership was defined by his service to the community and his ability to guide and inspire those around him.
One of Max’s most significant contributions to the College was the introduction of the first Pre-Primary class, with a dedicated teacher and a teacher’s aide serving nine eager young learners.
This milestone marked the beginning of something special for the school, laying the foundation for future growth and development.
Max’s legacy at the College is one of service, leadership and a deep commitment to the betterment of every student.
He was not just a principal but a mentor, a guide, and a friend.
