Last week’s Secondary Student Representative Council meeting was a special one.
Councillors had the opportunity to spend time with their Primary counterparts.
The purpose of this meeting was to create connection and work on building relationships between the two councils.
Students were provided breakfast and sat together around the lunch tables outside of the Secondary classrooms.
Here students were encouraged to buddy up intentionally so that each primary student had the opportunity to sit beside one or two of Secondary students.
The atmosphere among was light-hearted and relaxed, with lots of chatting and laughter.
Many of the Secondary students asked questions to get conversations flowing.
We look forward to more of these opportunities for team building between the two Councils as they continue to invest their time and skills into developing good leadership and effecting positive change at the College.
