Sophia de Lange
Acting Principal
As the 2025 school year is now under way, I want to extend a warm welcome back to all our families and look forward to partnering with you.
We are excited about the opportunities that await us this year! As part of our commitment to enhancing the educational experience of our students, we undertook a significant restructuring of the College in 2024 in preparation for 2025.
This restructuring aims to increase support for our students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
Key changes include the reduction of Deputy Principals from three to two, allowing for a more focused leadership approach.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce new Head of Department appointments in both Primary and Secondary. We also have a new Dean of Senior Secondary Curriculum position, looking after Year 11 and 12 students.
These changes will foster a more nurturing and effective learning environment. Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this journey together.

I want to clarify what the recent changes mean for you, especially in relation to parent partnership and engagement in your child’s education.
In our communication structure, Teachers are always the first point of contact for any immediate concerns or inquiries. Should you require further assistance, the Head of Department will be the second contact point, or the Dean of Senior Secondary Curriculum (for Years 11/12). Following that, the Deputy Principals will be the third point of contact.
Please refer to the Family Handbook, which has been emailed to families, for staff contact details.
As Acting Principal, I assure you that my door is always open for conversations. If you want to arrange a meeting, please contact my Executive Assistant, Fiona Davidson, fiona.davidson@gcc.wa.edu.au.
Please continue to pray for the Board as they start recruiting a new Principal for the College. We are excited to see what God will do in the next phase of the school. God has been faithful over the last 45 years of its existence, and we continue to trust him in the future.
