At the beginning of a new year, as we look back on the years behind us and forward to what is ahead, it is good to acknowledge God’s many blessings in our lives.

If we pause and reflect, we can see His goodness and how His faithful hand has carried and sustained us through the ups and downs, the good times as well as the challenging ones.

God’s Word never promises us that life will be easy and that we will never face hard times.

It does, however, assure us time and time again that He will be with us every step of the way and that He has good things planned for us if we trust in Him.

In Proverbs 3:5-6 we read, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight”. (NIV)

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”. (NIV)

My prayer is for a blessed 2025 for all families in the College community and may we choose to trust God’s good plans for us in every season.
