Some student reflections on a recent Year 7 Sport and Recreation Camp at Coronation Beach:

“Our Sport and Rec camp was amazing. There were many funny moments, including going tubing and body boarding. There were also many challenging moments, like going to sleep without laughing. We had a competition to see who could make the best dinner. Winners were Mia M, Abi H and Ayesha S receiving a big box of Maltesers. One of my favourite times was playing fox holes. The adrenaline was through the roof. Luckily the weather was great, despite rain the day before. It was the best idea to come to this camp and I will remember this time for the rest of my life.” –  Mia M

“The Sport and Rec camp was fun with the many activities that we had. We went biscuiting, body boarding and crayfishing. It was an exciting adventure. The sand was unbearable and very hard to get out of swags. The body boarding was amazing and the conditions were great. I can’t forget about the biscuiting, which was amazing. It was even more fun seeing my friends falling off and doing backflips. Overall, the camp was amazing and I wouldn’t mind doing it again.” – Joshua S

“I really enjoyed going on the boat and crayfishing, even though we didn’t catch anything. I enjoyed going bodyboarding. We went biscuiting and I almost fell off. Eric and I made spaghetti, which was good. I barely got any sleep, I slept like 2 hours. I didn’t like to refill my water bottle at night because it was sooooooooo far away to walk.” – anon.

“I really enjoyed the camp a lot and fortunately did not meet a snake in my tent. My favourite part was catching crayfish. I would highly recommend this camp.” – Ethon R
