Lower primary students are making significant progress in English and Mathematics, thanks to specialist intervention programs delivered by our Education Assistants (EAs).
The College has a dedicated group of intervention EAs, like Mrs Belle Cooper, who tailor the programs to the wide variety of student learning needs.
Mrs Cooper is passionate about helping them to set up a solid grounding for learning during the early years and uses two multi-sensory approach programs.
Sounds-Write is a phonics-based literacy program designed to teach reading and writing. It focuses on helping students understand the relationship between sounds and letters and how they blend to form words.
Math-U-See is a mastery-based maths program, with each level focusing on mastering one concept at a time. This ensures students build a solid foundation before advancing.
