A Geraldton Christian College Year 12 student has won the Midwest and Gascoyne’s major award for Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS).

Chloe Kietzmann was last night announced Central Regional TAFE 2021 Midwest & Gascoyne VETDSS Student of the Year in a presentation ceremony at CRTAFE Geraldton.

Chloe and fellow Year 12 College student Hailie Righton, who completed a Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies, also earned nominations for the Higher Vocational Studies Student of the Year Award.

In addition to completing their Certificate IV, Chloe and Hailie are studying four ATAR courses this year and will soon sit exams in those subjects.

Geraldton Christian College Acting Deputy Principal Curriculum, Mr Bruce Douglas, said the College was incredibly proud of Chloe and Hailie, for their character and achievements.

Jayden Hardy, a 2020 College graduate and last year’s Higher Vocational Studies Student of the Year, was guest speaker at last night’s awards.
