Well what a term this has been!
I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our staff for the incredible effort they have put in during these unsettled Covid-19 times. You have ensured the learning journey for each student has continued with excellence and in a spirit of confidence, compassion and faith.
I also want to thank all of our families for the way you have partnered with us, and worked alongside us, during some wonderful, and perhaps not so wonderful, moments. You embraced schooling from home, you understood when you couldn’t come onto campus grounds due to Covid-19 restrictions and you took to online uniform, canteen and library book ordering like ducks to water. THANK YOU so much – I am very thankful for all of you too and our incredible College community. We really do have something so special here.
I hope you have a wonderful break over this extended 3 week holiday period. Travel safely if you are going away, and we look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday 27 July when Term 3 commences for more Learning God’s Way.
~ Gavin Hirschhausen, Principal

Semester One Reports
Semester One Reports for Year 11 and 12 are available in the Sentral Parent Portal today.
Due to Covid-19, we required extra time for proofing and preparing other Year level reports, so Kindy to Year 10 Reports will be published at the start of Term 3.
Dress Up Day Fun at the End of Term
Thank you to our Student Councils for coming up with interesting Dress Up Themes on the last day of Term.
Primary students had a “Winter Theme” and wore beanies, scarves and gloves, while Secondary students went with a “Dress as a Career” theme.
Here are a few pics from today.
Year 9 Art
A few weeks ago the Year 9’s Art students completed their inquiry into expressionism. After studying the history of the art movement and its identifying features, they chose a location at school to represent with emotive colours and expressive brush strokes.
All of the students did a fantastic job. Here are a few of them with their work: Chanelle W, Jezarni B and Jamelia B.
~ Mrs Annalise Edwards, Art Teacher
Well done girls. We definitely have some budding artists in our midst!
Year 10 Science
Year 10 Science students have been studying how traits are inherited from generation to generation. In these pictures you can see that they were able to make some “Zazzles” using their knowledge of inheritance.
“What are Zazzles …” I hear you asking.
Well let me tell you … they are cute little marshmallow creatures with varying body shape, tail type, eye number and antennai. Students stepped into God’s shoes for just a little while as at the flick of a counter, traits were determined and the creatures were built. We had a little garden of Eden moment in the classroom!
Science is really too much fun for school, as you can see by the smiles on these beautiful students faces!
~ Mrs Joanne Lindsay, Science Teacher
News from the Garden
We are so blessed to have a wonderful garden at the College, and bountiful fresh produce that is used by the Food Technology Classes and the Canteen, and sometimes sold to parents.
Mrs Blay’s Year 3/4 Class helped Mrs Harrington to harvest these whopper sweet potatoes recently. During Maths class, the students measured and estimated the weight, circumference and length of these giants. Aren’t they impressive??
Last week Mrs Harrington had a Market Stall in the Car Park for parents, which the Year 4 students helped with.
Did you know that we have goats? That’s Arlo in the photo below.
Year 11 Sport & Rec Surfing
Who is up for a bit of Musical Olympics over the holidays?
Mr Gibson has had the Olympics running all term, and initially entries were going to close at the end of Week 9. However Mr Gibson would love to see students getting involved over the holidays – so get creating!
Both Primary and Secondary students can get involved.
Prizes will be awarded for participants at our first Primary and Secondary Assemblies in Term 3.
